Created as part of a 2nd year environment art assessment where I attempted to recreate the concept art 1 to 1.

I used modular assets, substance designer tiling textures & substance painter custom smart materials where I could, to keep things as reusable as possible. But also challenged myself to get as close to the concept as possible by hand drawing each bit of foliage, and getting every bit of curvature and deformity in the architecture as close as possible.

My biggest challenge was definitely taking such a heavily stylized image, and making it work in a 3D space without having objects floating all over the place to get the composition right, which happened many times during the block out, but I got there in the end.

It was also my first time using UE5, which I enjoyed using thoroughly.

There are definitely a few things I wish I could've done better (eg, more detailed skybox, crack decals in the walls, more plant modularity), but I learnt a lot during this project and am quite happy with the result.
